Aeration & Overseeding

Relieve compacted soil and plant fresh seed for a thicker, healthier lawn. Core aeration opens the ground; overseeding fills it in with new, resilient turf.

Open the Soil. Fill the Lawn.

A thicker lawn starts below the surface.

Over time, soil compacts from foot traffic, mowing, and weather. That compaction blocks water, nutrients, and oxygen from reaching the roots. Our aeration service removes deep core plugs to relieve that pressure, and overseeding plants fresh grass seed directly into the opened soil — giving your lawn a real chance to thicken and recover.

What We Do

Two services that work even better together.

Core Aeration

We mechanically remove deep plugs of soil and deposit them on the surface, creating pathways for air, water, and nutrients to reach the root zone.

  • Deep Core Plugs

We mechanically remove 3–4 inch soil plugs across the lawn, opening channels for air, water, and nutrients to reach the root zone.

  • Reduced Compaction

Heavy foot traffic, clay soil, and seasonal settling compress the ground. Aeration loosens the soil so roots can spread and breathe.

  • Better Nutrient Uptake

Fertilizer and water absorb deeper into the soil instead of running off the surface, giving you more value from every treatment.

  • Spring & Fall Timing

Aeration is available in both seasons. We recommend at least one visit per year, with fall being ideal for overseeding.

Overseeding

Spreading premium grass seed over existing turf, especially right after aeration, introduces new, hardy varieties and fills in thin or patchy areas.

  • Premium Seed Blend

We use a certified blend selected for performance and durability in Alabama's warm-season climate.

  • Pairs With Aeration

Core holes give seed direct soil contact, dramatically improving germination and establishment compared to surface seeding.

  • Optional Starter Fertilizer

Add a starter feed to jump-start germination and help young grass build strong roots before summer stress.

  • Fall Is Best

Cooler nights and warm soil make fall the perfect window for overseeding. Spring overseeding is also available.

Why It Matters

Stronger roots. Thicker turf. Better lawn.

Improved Soil Health

Aeration reduces compaction so roots can grow deeper and access water and nutrients more easily.

Enhanced Growth

Overseeding introduces new, robust grass varieties that thicken the turf and improve overall lawn quality.

Increased Resilience

A dense, healthy lawn naturally withstands weeds, pests, drought, and extreme weather better than thin turf.

Greener Appearance

Combined aeration and overseeding improve color, density, and uniformity. The difference shows within weeks.

Year-Round Timing

We schedule service when conditions are right for germination and root recovery, not just when it fits our calendar.

Access Check

Our aerator requires a 36-inch gate clearance. We confirm access before your appointment so there are no surprises.

When to Aerate

Spring wakes it up. Fall sets it up.

Spring Aeration

Spring service begins once the turf is actively growing and soil conditions allow. It's a great option for lawns that need immediate relief after winter or before heavy summer use.

Fall Aeration + Overseeding

Fall is the ideal window. Warm soil, cooler air, and fewer weeds give new seed the best chance to germinate and establish before winter dormancy.

We recommend aerating at least once per year. For lawns with heavy clay soil, high traffic, or thin turf, spring and fall service delivers the best results.

How It Works

Three steps to a thicker lawn.

01

Book Your Service Window

We inspect your lawn, confirm gate access, and recommend the right timing — spring, fall, or both.

02

Seed, Feed & Grow

If overseeding, we spread premium seed into the aeration holes and add optional starter fertilizer to fuel establishment.

Done right, or we make it right.

If coverage is missed, plugs are too shallow, or the results don't match what we promised, we'll return and re-service the affected areas at no extra charge. Your lawn's improvement is our standard.
